Safety & Security Policy

Your safety is our top priority. This Safety & Security Policy (“Policy”) explains how Filipina Matchmaker (“the Platform”) promotes user safety, the responsibilities of members, and the limits of our obligations. By using the Platform, you agree to this Policy as part of our Terms of Service.

1) User Responsibilities

1.1. You must treat all users with respect and must not engage in harassment, abuse, threats, fraud, scams, impersonation, exploitation, or unlawful conduct of any kind.
1.2. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both online and offline.
1.3. You must not share financial information, passwords, or highly sensitive details with other users.
1.4. If you choose to meet another user in person, you agree to take appropriate precautions (e.g., meet in public, inform a trusted friend/family member, avoid unsafe environments).
1.5. You agree to comply with all applicable local, national, and international laws when using the Platform.

2) Platform Commitments

2.1. We monitor for violations of our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and this Policy.
2.2. We provide tools for reporting abuse, harassment, fake accounts, or suspicious behavior.
2.3. Reports are reviewed in a timely manner. We may issue warnings, suspend, or permanently terminate accounts where violations are confirmed.
2.4. We cooperate with law enforcement where legally required, balancing user privacy and due process.
2.5. We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted communications, fraud monitoring, and account protection tools. However, no platform can guarantee absolute security.

3) Reporting & Moderation

3.1. To report a safety or security concern, use in-app reporting tools or email support@filipinamatchmaker.com.
3.2. Include relevant details (username, screenshots, description of behavior).
3.3. We may:

Warn or suspend the reported user,
Permanently ban accounts,
Refer matters to law enforcement,
Take any other reasonable measures to protect the community.

4) Prohibited Conduct

The following are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination and/or referral to law enforcement:

Child exploitation, grooming, or underage use;
Harassment, hate speech, or discrimination;
Stalking, threats, or intimidation;
Scams, financial fraud, or extortion;
Distribution of illegal or harmful content;
Attempting to circumvent bans, verification systems, or safety controls.

5) Limitations of Liability

5.1. While we take reasonable steps to promote a safe environment, we do not conduct criminal background checks or guarantee the identity, intentions, or behavior of users.
5.2. You acknowledge that all interactions carry risk, including when meeting in person.
5.3. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Platform disclaims liability for:

Harm arising from user interactions,
Incidents occurring offline after meeting through the Platform,
Third-party conduct outside our control.

6) International Compliance

6.1. This Policy is designed to comply with international frameworks, including:

European Union Digital Services Act (DSA),
United States Communications Decency Act, Section 230,
United Kingdom Online Safety Act,
Australia eSafety Commissioner framework,
Philippines Cybercrime Prevention Act,
Other regional online safety and harassment laws.
6.2. Where stricter local rules apply, those rules shall take precedence.

7) Updates

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, or safety practices. The “Effective Date” will be updated accordingly. Continued use of the Platform after notice of changes constitutes acceptance.
